America has a new First Puppy.
In an official tweet Monday evening, the White House announced the Obamas have a new puppy and playmate for Bo. Sunny, the new pup, is a 1-year-old female Portuguese Water Dog.

"Sunny is the perfect little sister for Bo –- full of energy and very affectionate –- and the First Family picked her name because it fit her cheerful personality," the official White House blog said. Sunny arrived in the White House on Monday, and she was born in Michigan in June of 2012.

Sunny is already clearly enjoying companionship with the Obamas' older dog, Bo, who is also a Portuguese Water Dog.

The White House said the Obamas are "making a donation to the Washington Humane Society" in Sunny's honor.
