After passing on the acquisition of the now defunct Jangl, WhitePages.com has agreed to purchase Snapvine's VoIP service. As with many other VoIP services that have gained traction in the past two years, Snapvine spent a great deal of resources on integration with social networks, effectively giving users a way to connect via phone calls without needing to dole out their personal information.
Snapvine's widget on MySpace was largely successful, and helped the company gain enough attention to warrant over $10 million in funding, however, the financial details of WhitePages' acquisition of Snapvine have not been disclosed.
