Orange you glad Whole Foods chimed in on the pre-packaged fruit?

This cringe-worthy orange doesn't fall far from the original cringe-worthy orange.

This week an image of a package of pre-peeled oranges inside a recyclable, albeit wasteful plastic container circulated its way around the web, gaining ample amounts of Internet hysteria and hate. In its best interest, the grocery chain gave it their cheekiest best and responded via social media.

"Whole Foods," land of the artisan asparagus water, has unintentionally become the target of trolls who see its gourmet offerings (and attached marketing schemes) not particularly palatable, at times. Luckily for the brand, it seems to have found another way to cater to Millenials -- dank memes.

On a more practical note, the company did not mince words or take the casual route when addressing the actual issue at hand:
