Men's 'Wicked' Medley Gives Idina Menzel a Run for Her Magic Broom

They're gonna to be popular after this.

YouTube singers Peter Hollens and Nick Pitera have combined their vocal magic to conjure up a men's-only medley of songs from the musical Wicked.

Nowhere heard is Idina Menzel or Kristin Chenoweth, who starred as Elphaba and Glinda in the original Broadway musical. But have no fear; these guys do them justice.

"Nick and I've been trying to figure out a song to do for over 12 months, and nothing felt right, until I came up with the idea of a Wicked medley," Hollens told Mashable. "Nick is so perfect for broadway material."

Hollens, Pitera and FifGen Films recorded their colorful medley in Hollens' garage in Eugene, Oregon, with Pitera making the costumes and Hollens producing the audio.

Visiting them on set on occasion were Hollens' baby boy and his wife, Evynne, who coincidentally released a "Defying Gravity" cover last year.

"Ever since she did that I would always sing it in her key, and so finally I did my own in her key, eek, that was high," Hollens added.
