Kanye West's latest move is causing a big ripple effect.

On Tuesday, the rapper changed his forthcoming album title from Swish to Waves, much to the confusion/delight of fans everywhere.

However, one person in particular really wasn't feeling this new album change.

New album title, WAVES— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) January 27, 2016

Rapper Wiz Khalifa quickly began subtweeting the rapper's new choice.

Please don't take the wave.— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016

He went on to cite hip hop artist Max B., who "created the wave" and has often used that theme in his music. Max B.'s last three mixtapes were titled A Wave Called Yes, Toothy Wavy and Return of the Wave.

Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016

He's the reason I sing on all my songs. That's the wave. If theres nothing wit that sound ITS NOT WAVY.— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016

Im a wavy baby for sure and I'm not having it. https://t.co/M7hhKo5TlP— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016

Khalifa also went on to tweet multiple Max B. songs, including "Never Wanna Go Back," "Porno Music" and "Why You Do That." Soon, Max B.'s name was trending on Twitter.

Just so you know what true waves are. https://t.co/Mot3ab1Kuu— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016

West quickly responded to the tweets, paying respect to Max B. and Andre Harrell...

All respect to Andre Harrel and Max B #Waves— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) January 27, 2016

...which Wiz clearly didn't care for.

Yea aight. https://t.co/z1syUIGo4G— KOE (@wizkhalifa) January 27, 2016
