If you have A$25,000 lying around, you may be in with a chance to get up close and personal with Wolverine.

Or more accurately, the man behind the beast. Dinner with Aussie hunk, Hugh Jackman, is the drawcard for a charity auction currently underway on eBay. You can finally see how a man with claws eats his dinner.

The auction, which started at a cheap price of A$10,000, will see the winner and a friend fly to New York from Sydney, Australia in business class, and sit down to a feast with Jackman, his wife Deborra-lee Furness and Australia's Foreign Minister Julie Bishop.

Topics you could discuss over a steak: emoticons as a new political language, Jackman's future of as Wolverine and Furness's passion point, adoption advocacy.

The dinner is one of a stable of prizes up for auction for Australian Parliament's Midwinter Ball, which will take place on June 17 in Canberra and see all proceeds donated to charity.

If you are short on money and emoticons (the language of the foreign minister), you can settle for dinner with Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott. Breakfast for four people at Kirribilli House is currently a steal at A$6,000. It is one of a bunch of dinners that are available to bid for with important people who normally roam the halls of Parliament.

So get your super geek on and dip into your bank account, Wolverine is waiting.
