Babies really are parasites, if you think about it.

Keating Thomas was just minding his own business when he received a text from his friend, who has asked to remain anonymous.

"I'll call you later," he wrote. "Right now, I'm sitting in a doctor's office waiting for results."

"I had a funny story to tell him, so I told him to give me a call when he got a chance, and he sent me that reply," Thomas told Mashable in an email. "It seemed odd, because I assumed he would have been at work, and he's seemingly of normal health, so seeing that blunt reply made me think maybe something serious was happening."

Turns out it was serious, but certainly not in a bad way.

The conversation ended with the expectant father saying, "Let's grab some beers on Friday."

Thomas responded with, "Sounds like a plan. I'll bring some diapers," to which his friend responded: "Good. I just ate some Chipotle."

Congrats to Keating's friend on the baby and his amazing sense of humor.
