Genevieve Blau perfectly pokes fun at the classic Instagram couple photos by posting her own — with her "boyfriend," a pink Jansport backpack. Blau poses with her jaunty knapsack in parks, at bars and even in bed. Because such a happy relationship definitely deserves its own celebration.

The inspiration for the Instagram started innocently enough, with Blau going on a solo dinner date. “I was going to a nice restaurant and I was wearing this backpack,” Blau tells the Daily Dot. “And I was like, you know what? I’m going to choose to not feel bad about the fact that I’m wearing jeans and a T-shirt going to this fancy Italian restaurant and make this about something fun that I can do while I dine by myself.”

The Jansport relationship took off from there. Blau is totally owning the hashtag #jansportdate, with pics of her and her backpack boo cuddling anywhere and everywhere they please.

Blau says that the photos are meant to be a celebration of those unusual bonds you form with your nostalgic possessions, which can often outlast other relationships in your life. "Dudes come and go. I have had this backpack for 10 f**king years.”

And though the idea might seem unusual or odd to some, Blau has no regrets. "I did it and I liked it and every time I do it I feel sort of silly and goofy ... It’s the stupidest thing in the world, but I love it."
