Australia's soccer team, the Matilda's, have upset Brazil in a historic FIFA women’s World Cup win in Canada.

With Brazil's first conceded goal of the tournament, Australia's Kyah Simon snuck in a shot in the 80th minute that saw the Matilda's win 1-0. The Monday morning shock victory dumped Brazil out of the tournament and moved Australia through to the quarter-final clash against Japan or the Netherlands.

Despite doubts, Australia survived the group of death -- playing former World Cup finalists, U.S. and Sweden, along with Nigeria-- before they were thrown into the pit for a sudden-death match against World Cup heavyweights, Brazil.

Australia's first win over Brazil at a World Cup now moves the country into the top eight. Cue wild celebrations.
