After months of slobbery anticipation from soccer fans around the globe, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is finally upon us -- well, almost. The action begins on June 12 and runs through the World Cup Final on July 13.
But with the World Cup comes questions -- so, so many questions. How far will the U.S. go? Who are the favorites? Who are the dark-horse contenders? Will protests disrupt the event? Who are the most exciting players to watch? The list goes on.

We'll answer many of those questions during a live Hangout on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET. Mashable sportswriter Sam Laird will be joined by Sports Illustrated soccer writers Grant Wahl and Brian Straus. You can watch the YouTube video embedded atop this post -- or do so here, where you'll also find more information about how to submit your own questions.
Soccer, football, futbol -- no matter what you call it, this is going to be a beautiful summer for the beautiful game. The countdown to Brazil starts now.
