Gander owners and their pets from across the country flock to the village of Mokrin each February to compete in the traditional -- and nonviolent -- event. Gander fighting is considered to be a part of folklore in northern Serbia. Unlike other forms of animal fighting, the gander do no get seriously injured, and usually lose just a few feathers.
