Detroit Tigers pitcher Doug Fister was hit square in the head with a line drive off the bat of San Francisco Giant Gregor Blanco in the second inning of Thursday night's World Series matchup. He did not appear to be seriously injured, however, and continued pitching.

We don't yet know how fast the ball was traveling, but similar drives have been clocked in the region of 130 miles per hour.
