Apple to Stream WWDC on Apple TV

Apple will let Apple TV users tune into its Worldwide Developer Conference on their televisions, a rare occurrence that may signify a major announcement is on the way.

The company brought back its "Apple Events" icon on Apple TV, according to MacRumors. In addition to streaming Monday's WWDC event, the channel also showcases past Apple events. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said that the company has sold more than 13 million Apple TVs -- more than 6.5 million of which have been sold in the past year.

For those without Apple TVs, Apple will also stream the event via its website. The WWDC event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. PT. Apple doesn't stream all its announcements via Apple TV. In fact, the last time ut did so was in October 2012, for the launch of the iPad Mini, according to MacRumors.
