Hulu has pinned down a deal to stream World Wrestling Entertainment programming on Hulu Plus, its monthly subscription service for TV shows and movies, the day after the content airs on television.
"As a clear leader in digital content delivery, Hulu is an ideal partner for WWE," Vince McMahon, WWE's chairman and CEO, said in a statement announcing the exclusive multi-year deal Monday.
Hulu tells Mashable that WWE content has done very well, so the company is excited to offer it in Hulu Plus.
Hulu Plus users, who pay $7.99 each month for the subscription service, can access the WWE offering on mobile phones, tablets, PCs, internet-connected TVs, set-top boxes and gaming consoles. Hulu Latino also will house WWE content for Hulu Plus subscribers.
Previously, WWE's programs on Hulu -- Smackdown, Raw, Superstars, NXT and more -- were only available eight days after they were broadcast on cable. Hulu.com will still offer the programs on that schedule.
