Entertainment Weekly has released the first few images from the next X-Men movie, featuring Oscar Isaac's villain, the titular Apocalypse. The images certainly have fans talking -- but mostly about how, er, comical this movie looks.

The new photos also introduce the rebooted franchise's takes on Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Jubilee (Lana Condor), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan).

That's a deluge of new characters -- but fans can't seem to take their eyes off Oscar Isaac. It's probably an understatement to say that people were let down by how Apocalypse looks -- some fans even drew parallels to Ivan Ooze, Power Rangers villain of yore.

Oh my goodness... Apocalypse in the new X-men movie looks... really really bad.

Others took issue with Alexandra Shipp's Storm.

Sad to see Storm so light in the new X-Men movie. pic.twitter.com/bXyOPHq1b2 — Suleiman (@Payitforward87) July 16, 2015

Even Halle Berry is darker than the woman they casted to play Storm in the new X Men movie... — Charlie J (@charliexxx) July 16, 2015

Yikes. Here's hoping a Mystique/Quicksilver face-off and Magneto in flannel will be enough to keep people happy.

X-Men: Apocalypse picks up 10 years after X-Men: Days of Future Past, with Mystique, Xavier, and Magneto reuniting as Apocalypse emerges from his Egyptian tomb and wreaks havoc upon the '80s, recruiting new mutants to help him.

The big bad forces unite, though, when Apocalypse recruits Magneto, who has "fallen in love and basically left his metal ways behind,” according to Michael Fassbender.

This, of course, throws a wrench in Xavier's life, instigating a reunion between him and Mystique.
