The apocalypse never looked so good.

In the first full-length trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, the stakes are higher than ever as Charles (James McAvoy), Eric (Michael Fassbender) and their loyal factions of mutant allies face off against the world's first mutant, who has been alive for thousands of years. The film once again reunites the cast of X-Men: First Class with director Bryan Singer, who helmed X-Men and X2: X-Men United before leaving the franchise, then returning for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
We barely glimpse the mutant Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), but he narrates much of the trailer with an ego stoked by centuries of worship from humans who thought him a god. The bulk of the trailer is spent showing us every classic X-Men character who made it into the movie -- including Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), as well as several shots of Jennifer Lawrence without her Mystique makeup -- as if to remind viewers that she's starring in this franchise, too.
It's all pretty great -- and gif-worthy.
