The shell lets you see the chips and wiring inside the phone. Coupled with an elongated LED display on the front of the phone, which displays various notifications, it creates a unique visual effect.
From a technical perspective, the X-RAY has an 8-megapixel camera, support for MicroSD memory cards, a 3-inch main TFT LCD screen and the front-facing 7x102 pixel LED.
No word yet on pricing or whether the device will be limited exclusively KDDI in Japan.
