Xbox One Will Be Available in November

LOS ANGELES -- During a keynote at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on Monday, Microsoft announced the Xbox One will be available in November for $499.

Microsoft first unveiled the console in late May at an event at its headquarters in Redmond, Wash. The Xbox One is Microsoft's next-generation gaming console and its first new console since 2005.

In addition to the console's availability, Microsoft also announced a number of games headed its way, including Forza Motorspot 5, Mindcraft, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and D4.

Now that Microsoft has announced the pricing and availability for its console, we'll have to see if Sony is able to keep up and announce pricing and availability for its next console, the PlayStation 4, (or even show us the console itself), later Monday evening at its E3 press conference.
