Xbox Announcement, Pre and Post Show Will Air on Spike TV

The "Xbox: A New Generation Revealed" event -- where Microsoft will show off an upgraded Xbox console, games and other gems, will be aired live May 21 on Spike TV as a commercial-free, one-hour broadcast sandwiched between a pre and post show.

"Microsoft is set to redefine the home entertainment experience,” Jon Slusser, senior vice president of Spike's sports and multiplatform programming, said in a statement. "We are thrilled that Spike is the network to give fans the exclusive access to this ground breaking event."

The pre show begins at noon PT. Cameras will capture announcements starting at 1 p.m. PT from Microsoft Corporate Headquarters in Redmond, Wash. followed by a post-show interview with Don Mattrick, Microsoft's president of interactive entertainment business. Spike TV, GameTrailers and GTTV's Geoff Keighley will also share analysis and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and possibly demos, during the post show.

For people without a TV or Spike TV, the event will be live streamed at Xbox.com and GameTrailers.com.
