Yahoo is holding a contest for you to design a Green icon--that is, a symbol that Yahoo will use to indicate things like green products throughout its large family of sites and networks.
For example, the green icon could be used to let you know which cars you're searching are fuel-efficient. The contest will be held on Bix, where viewers can vote on two icons head-to-head. It's running on Bix until September 18th, when the winner will be the one with the most votes. While the creator of the winning icon doesn't get a prize, Yahoo will donate $20,000 to the environmental nonprofit of their choice. The two runners-up also gets $5,000 donated to the environmental nonprofit of their choice, too.
