Yahoo is launching another new site this morning, complete with social features. Yahoo! Food has been developed by the company's Lifestyles group in Santa Monica, and focuses on professional content like recipes from celebrity chefs. These partners include Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Wolfgang Puck, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Food & Wine, Epicurious, Cook's Illustrated and Reader's Digest. As a result, videos from Martha Stewart make a fairly prominent appearance. Recipes can be rated, reviewed, printed, and shared via email and IM. If you're logged in, the experience is personalized with a list of your recently viewed articles, recipes and searches.
Yahoo also launched a Green Center on Yahoo Autos yesterday, helping you to research more environmentally-friendly cars and fuels. In some ways, this effort is much better when it comes to social features: they've included the latest environmental questions from Yahoo Answers, related Yahoo Groups you might want to join, recent news stories from Yahoo News and the latest "green" links from del.icio.us.
