When it Comes to Search, Yahoo is Big in Japan

Based on comScore's latest data, Yahoo sites hold a 51% share of all searches conducted in Japan, while Google is significantly weaker with a 38% share. For complete numbers, see below.

It's almost surreal to see Yahoo leading over Google by such a large margin, especially when it comes to search. It's even more interesting to see it growing faster than Google; if you look at search query volume, Yahoo has grown 13% since January last year, while Google has grown only 5 percent in the same period.
