In light of all the movement going on in the video ad industry, Yahoo has released a handful of new video ad formats, some of which include the ad technology from its recently acuquired Maven Networks, according to CNet. Those that are being introduced from Maven's line up are splash screen or bumper ads, as well as those inserted midway through the video's play. Bumper ads display a banner ad above the video window.

The other ad formats Yahoo is introducing today are also interactive: these clickable ads bring forth semi-transparent messages that display over the video itself. Viewers can click through to visit the advertiser's site.
