"But it was signed by Babe Ruth!"

That line was good in the coming-of-age classic The Sandlot in 1993, but watching Yankees player Jacoby Ellsbury channel his inner Squints--wearing black-rimmed glasses, no less-- in 2015 could warm even the coldest of hearts.

Ellsbury and his teammates, including Brett Gardner, C.C. Sabathia and Brian McCann--who looks like a grown-up version of his character, Ham-- star in an adorable recreation of the nostalgia-filled Babe Ruth scene when Smalls realizes he lost a ball signed by the Great Bambino. The video, released Tuesday on MLB.com, captures the essence of the Sandlot kids, facepalms and all.
