In the six months that the product has been in beta, Yapp says nearly three quarters of users tried the product and more than half of those successfully created at least one app. Some of these users have been particularly clever and created event apps for secret dining experiences, fundraisers and more.

For the public launch, Yapp has added several useful new features, including giving users the ability to send push notifications through their apps and providing customizable app download URLs for users to share apps with one another.

While there are other tools out for building your own apps like Apps Builder, Yapp is a bit more streamlined and easier to use. The company previously raised a seed round of funding led by Kleiner Perkins, North Bridge Venture Partners and Cue Ball.
