Sometimes a portmanteu is the English language's way of guiding you to a truly inspired meeting of the minds.

Yeezer, the inevitable mashup of Kanye West and Weezer's discographies created purely out of devotion to wordplay, actually works.

"American Island," "Buddy Holly's Workout Plan" and "(And They Say) It Ain't So" are good starting points.

The combination of West's earlier tracks with rock instrumentals bring them into the Yeezus era -- Kanye's latest and arguably one of the punkest records in recent memory.

For Kanye's #Yeezy2020 running mate, he could certainly do worse than Harvard grad and Weezer lead singer Rivers Cuomo. Plus, it's good to share responsibilities because no one man should have all that power.
