Yidio is a newly launched video search site that unfortunately doesn't offer much more than what we've seen emerge in the past 2 years. You can search for Internet TV programs, add videos that you like from across the web, and create playlists based on clips you like. Yidio is even hoping to entice new users by enabling AdSense revenue-sharing, but the average returns from such a split are unlikely to make it worth while.

The content available on the site has been aggregated from across the web, so the clips you'll find aren't much different than what you come across on YouTube. The search functionality itself is powered by Truveo. That being said, a network like Yidio can become more useful by creating communities around the video content, and organizing it in a more efficient manner.

There are some search filtering options already; results for a particular keyword can be expanded based on shows (i.e. see all "Heroes" episodes). But given the current climate of online video search and the slow crawl towards premium content being available within such networks, the ability to view results according to a timeline or an episode tracker would be immensely helpful.
