YieldBuild, an online advertising optimization service, has raised $6 million in Series B funding. Versus typical ad networks, YieldBuild is more of a middle-man of sorts, selecting the best ads to run on a given site at a given point in time, based on what it determines will monetize best.

Currently, the service selects ads from Google AdSense, Yahoo Publisher Network, or eBay’s Ad Context to serve contextual advertising. The company makes its money by taking 3% of publishers’ impressions for themselves.
