Quick Pitch: YouDiligence helps parents protect children from cyber-bullies and internet predators on MySpace and Facebook, indentifying problematic posts & alerting parents via email.

Genius Idea: Whether they fear predators, bullies, or just inappropriate content, there's no doubt that parents are concerned, and rightfully so, about their child's safety online. Now cautious parental units can stay out of the way and turn to YouDiligence to manage the dirty work of spying on their kids and their circle of friends' behaviors on MySpace and Facebook. YouDiligence's watchful eye service is adept at recognizing flagged content and communication from your child and the people they communicate with online.

The getting started process allows parents to select categories of words that they want YouDiligence to actively search on MySpace and Facebook. Parents will need to either have their child's MySpace and Facebook account information, or be their friend on each social network. Once that's configured they will receive an email, with the violation, its context, and its location, for every inappropriate mention. Parents also have access to a complete view online of all flagged text mentions in profiles, comments, photo captions, blog posts, and friend comments or posts.

Not hip to the creative terms that younger generations are using to refer to adult behaviors or activities? No problem, parents can also opt to receive a monthly newsletter with the latest slang terms and get extra insight into what their offspring is really saying.

YouDiligence's service offers pay-per-child plans starting at $9.99 a month, though I imagine most parents would find this a small price to pay for the type of insight the service provides.
