I've got to be honest. I've never thought much about my mobile phone voice mail service. Sure, I know it's there, and it works well enough. Once I started playing with the features on YouMail, though, I didn't know how sorely lacking my current service was. My old voicemail didn't have the capability to be customized per caller, and I didn't have the ability to do replies back to callers, regardless of carrier.
On the business side of things, I had no idea that the business of giving away free voice could be so lucrative, or the targetted advertising side on SMS and email advertising could be so effective. This is definitely one of the more eye-opening conversations I've had in a while. Check it out, and pick up a few good nuggets yourself.
