YourMelodyTV Offers Ad-Rev for Music Videos

YourMelodyTV is an online community that lets you post your music video content and offers an ad revenue-sharing model in return.

The purpose of this community is to offer a place for the self-promotion of your own music video content. You can upload your videos and select a channel where it will be included for search. These channels are really music genres. Videos can be added to your favorites, emailed to friends, or embedded in other sites, including your MySpace, hi5 and Piczo profiles on other social networks. When you create a profile, you can sign up as a musician or a user, though there is very little difference between the two.

I noticed that there are some channels other than music categories, for DJs, Venues, etc. This indicates that YourMelodyTV would probably like to involve some event and venue promotion throughout the site, so perhaps adding the option for a promoter user profile would be helpful in that regard. It also doesn't look like it's added the Revver-like, ad revenue-sharing system just yet--there are no Google ads on the site, nor do I see anywhere to sign up for the redemption of my cash rewards. In all, the revenue-sharing model that YourMelodyTV is using is difficult enough for sites that have already gained traction, and without much of a community or sharing tools, such as those like blogTV, used to create self-broadcast content, a more creative ad-share model may be necessary.
