YourPitch on Mashable

One of the big problems that a lot bloggers face today is the paralyzing volume of pitches we get - I'm buried in submissions on a daily basis. The easy way out is to blog about something that's instantly understandable, doesn't clog up my PC with more downloadable software and won't waste two hours while I try to figure out if my cellphone is compatible (sometimes an issue with mobile social networks). The other way is to tighten up editorial policies: writing only about newer sites, or old sites with new features, that have a strong social angle. But the fact is, many great sites still don't make it due to time constraints. What's more, many of the founders have blogs themselves, and could easily whip up a good explanation if given the chance.

So this week look out for some slightly different posts springing up: totally biased submissions from company founders about why their new service or feature is so great. These will be clearly marked as a guest post from a founder or CEO, and will likely feature "Mashable's Take" at the end. If you're interested in submitting, meanwhile, note that submissions should be original content (not reposted from elsewhere) of over 350 words. Also, best to get in touch about your proposed topic in advance.
