YourTrumanShow Launches Celebrity Diaries Video Series

YourTrumanShow, the still-in-beta network for creating your own video channel, has launched a celebrity diary series.

First up is Keaton Simons, an up and coming musician. This "bluesy" singer has managed to make a name for himself thanks to homegrown online marketing. His Truman Show will feature Simons behind the scenes, taping him as he makes his new album. Now word on what other celebrities will be jumping on board, but this is geared as a way for celebrities to better connect with fans, Kate Modern style.

Seems like all the social networks and video-sharing sites are pushing this trend. While we haven't seen too many celebrities do a video blog outside of a particular concert or album promotion (and Simons is counted as doing such as well), Justin.tv has moved in this direction, incorporating other personalities and companies to its suite of channels for non-stop, camera-rolling fun. Facebook has launched its user-submitted Diaries series yesterday, in partnership with Comcast's video network Ziddio.
