YouSendIt, a site we sometimes use here at Mashable to send video files to each other, has just raised an additional $14 million in a series C round of venture capital financing, from new investor Emergence Capital, with existing investors Sigma Partners, Alloy Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds and Cambrian Ventures. With the new funding, YouSendIt will be looking to expand its user base and work on some new products as well, building on existing feature releases like SiteDrop.
So far, YouSendIt's Web-based content delivery and management service hasn't done to badly for itself. With a reported 200,000 new users per month, YouSendIt is continuing to grow at a rapid pace, spanning business and social users for its service. That's a lot of file-sharing. As a convenient alternative to email, or having to minimize files before sending them off to friends and colleagues, YouSendIt simplifies the media-sharing process and throws in some file management features to keep things streamlined even after you've sent or received a file.
