Everybody's favorite video-sharing site is trying out a new design for its video pages. There's now a button that enables the new "Beta Version" - below, we compare the old one to the beta test. (Although technically, the 'old' one isn't old either: some minor changes were rolled out across the YouTube site overnight.)
Among the differences in the beta version: a wider player, a new layout for the related videos and a stronger focus on user channels. Note that on both versions, Google search now takes a prime position in the center of the page. You can also sign in to YouTube with your Google account, although this remains optional for now.
