YouTube is going down for yet more scheduled maintenance overnight, and the site is said to be adding the ability for users to group clips around certain categories.
That doesn't sound like a big change to me - since categories were already part of the site - but Beet.tv says that a significant redesign of the interface will organize music clips around artists, vacations around specific activities and allow users and broadcasters to organize their channels better. It's becoming "more like Flickr", they say. We're not sure how this will be distinct from tagging, but it seems this will add better grouping within individual channels.
