YouTube announced that four of its creators -- Connor Franta, Marques Brownlee, MinuteEarth and Franchesca Ramsey -- will be featured in Sunday's Democratic Presidential Debate.

The news comes just one month after YouTube and NBC News partnered to present the final Democratic presidential debate before February's Iowa caucuses. Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Martin O'Malley will be filling out the stage.

"Not only will this be the first debate live streamed on a social media platform this election cycle, but you can expect to see some of your favorite YouTube creators involved," YouTube wrote in a blog post on Saturday.

Moderated by NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, the debate is scheduled to air on NBC from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on the NBC News YouTube channel. YouTube emphasized that the online community will have an opportunity to get more involved with the debate before, during and after the stream. Notably, the debate will feature questions from YouTubers.

YouTube did not specify how the creators will be involved. But when asked by a fan on Twitter what his role will be, Franta said he gets to ask a question.

Franta, a lifestyle vlogger who has about 5.2million subscribers, earned the "Favorite YouTube Star “award at the 42nd People's Choice Awards this month.

Brownlee, a tech reviewer who has amassed about 3.2 million subscribers, also shared the news on Twitter.

MinuteEarth -- an animated science series produced by a small team of scientists, writers and video creators around the world -- will also take part on Sunday. The channel has about 1.2 million subscribers.

This is not the first time YouTubers have gotten involved with the political world. On Friday, creators Destin Sandlin, Ingrid Nilsen and sWooZie interviewed President Obama at The White House.
