YouTube App Coming to Xbox One at Launch

A YouTube app with access to millions of videos is coming to Xbox One when it launches in 13 countries Friday, Microsoft announced.

According to a blog post, the Xbox One YouTube app will work with all the console's features to allow users to stream YouTube's library of videos. It can interact with your existing subscriptions on your YouTube account, as well as videos currently trending on the network.

The YouTube app will work with all of the Kinect's voice commands to assist with discovery and playback control, as well as gestures for browsing. The videos can stream in high-quality 1080p as well.

In the blog post, Microsoft said the YouTube app will be updated with new features down the line, including being able to snap into the right rail.

The Xbox One comes out in 13 countries on Nov. 22.
