Ex-One Direction superstar Zayn Malik just can't keep himself out of the spotlight these days. Shortly after releasing his debut solo single, "Pillowtalk," and joining Snapchat, Zayn took to Twitter to release what appears to be a 7-second preview of a new song.

In the short video, captioned "Late Nights," Zayn is listening to the new song playing in the background.

It's just a tiny snippet, but enough to hear one verse that seems to go "Late nights, red eyes, amnesia." Or is that last bit actually "I need you?" We'll likely find out soon enough.

The pop star's first solo music video rustled a few feathers with its utter weirdness, and a lot of young hearts were broken when he said, in a recent interview last week, that he "never really wanted to be" in One Direction.

Malik's upcoming album, titled Mind of Mine, is scheduled to be released in March.
