How strong is the Zune brand? Outside of the US the Zune HD player simply isn't available, which makes the Zune a very tiny blip on the radar.
Xbox, on the other hand, is pretty big. So for most customers outside of the US, the fact that Xbox 360 is getting instant on-demand movie streaming - the service is now rebranded as Zune - will mean a lot.
According to Financial Times, the service will be available in 18 markets: US, UK, France, Germany and Australia among others. Available titles will include some of the most popular films from MGM, Paramount and Universal.
Besides movies streaming, the service will also include access to services such as Twitter and Facebook, which makes this a very well-rounded package.
