10 things to binge this holiday weekend

As Marie Antoinette once famously said, "Let them binge all the things."

Thanksgiving is a time for eating until you can scarcely stomach another bite, shopping until you quite literally drop, and consuming all the TV, movies and other media available before Monday rears its ugly head.

That's a lot of pressure for just a few days, so let's get cracking.

The Crown

Whether or not you devoured this immediately after its Nov. 4 release, the world has changed significantly since that weekend. Escape American politics by immersing yourself in the goings-on of the British monarchy, and revel in the days when a leader accidentally yelling was more scandalous than one saying ... well, literally anything.

Of course you're planning to watch the best Thanksgiving episodes in television history, so here's a short list if you need it: Gilmore Girls' "A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving," Boy Meets World's "Turkey Day," any Friends episode on the subject ("The One With the Football" is a classic), The O.C.'s "The Homecoming," and any How I Met Your Mother "Slapsgiving" offshoot.

We Got It From Here, A Tribe Called Quest

Tribe's first album since the tragic death of Phife Dawg earlier in the year debuted at #1, and not without reason. They've still got the '90s beats and sensibility that made the band brilliant, now coupled with two more decades of raw life experience and hip-hop adaptability.

Gilmore Girls

Whether you're gearing up for the reboot or finally jumping on the Stars Hallow wagon, this show is timelessly bingeable and goes extremely well with leftover food (and coffee).

Insecure

Issa Rae's masterful HBO comedy concludes its first season on Nov. 27, but it flies by and is worth a refresh if you fell behind or lost a few weeks.

The Harry Potter movies

Fantastic Beasts got you missing Hogwarts? Then go on and get back with the first eight Harry Potter movies, available for digital purchase (Order of the Phoenix alone is streaming on HBO).

Brown Nation

Redemption, Dawn Richard

The former Dannity Kane artist's futuristic R&B solo career keeps at it with this album, a followup to her May EP. Sample "Renegades" and "Vines" for the true feel.
