100-year-old D-Day veteran celebrates birthday by going skydiving

He was super chilled about the whole thing, too.

LONDON -- Only a true badass would spend their 100th birthday casually jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet.

Record breaking 100-year-old Verdun Hayes did exactly that, though -- and he raised money for charity and set a British record into the bargain.

"Coming out of the plane into the actual freefall, it was lovely."

Hayes is thinking about going for a world record next year, with another skydive to mark his 101st birthday.
