12 Monkeys isn't your average time-travel show, so it's no surprise that Season 3 of the Syfy series isn't getting an average premiere.

The fan-favorite drama will debut the entirety of Season 3 in a groundbreaking three-night binge event beginning May 19 at 8 p.m. on Syfy -- with the first four episodes of the season premiering Friday night, three more airing Saturday, and the final three installments airing Sunday.

For the last two seasons, our post-apocalyptic heroes have traveled through time to eradicate the source of a plague that will all but annihilate the human race. In Season 3, the mission gets personal for Cole (Aaron Stanford) and Cassie (Amanda Schull) following the bombshell that the destroyer of worlds – a man called “The Witness” – is their unborn son.

Mashable has an exclusive sneak peek at the Season 3 premiere, which sees Cole in 2163 during his desperate search to find Titan, where Cassie is being held. Once Cole discovers a signal for Titan, he and Jones' daughter, Hannah (Brooke Williams), have a disagreement over whether it’s safe to move forward.

Judging by what we've seen so far, we're definitely not going to want to wait between episodes to find out what happens next.

12 Monkeys Season 3 airs Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21 from 8-11 p.m. on Syfy.
