Bentley's new $277,235 Continental GT Speed looks like a car Superman would drive

It's nearly faster than a speeding bullet, let's say.

If Bruce Wayne drives a Lamborghini, Clark Kent would drive Bentley's 2017 Continental GT Speed. Just probably not on his newspaper salary, though.

Bespoke British ultra-luxury brand Bentley unveiled its updated 2017 Continental GT Speed and GT Speed Convertible. In addition to the "regular" (I use that word mildly) versions, Bentley is also offering Black Edition models for both the coupe and the 'vert.

And the thing is more similar to the man of steel than just in its color scheme. It is quite nearly faster than a speeding bullet.

No matter whether it's the Black Edition or otherwise, the car's 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine can push it from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on the way to a top speed of 206 mph.

That makes it amongst some of the fastest cars in the world. Given this thing weighs near 6,000 pounds and has some of the softest leather on the planet, that's no small feat.

For all that speed and luxury, you'll have to pay a price, of course. Pricing ranges from $240,300 for the GT Speed coupe all the way up to the GT Speed Convertible Black Edition at $277,235.

If you're interested in the GT Speed, Bentley dealers will take your orders now. Depending on how you specify your car, don't expect it to be delivered until later this summer, though.

Oh and, just because they optioned this one with a Superman-y paint scheme doesn't mean you have to. This is Bentley after all. You can have it painted any way you want, so long as you're willing to pay a bit extra.
