Dell just announced five new laptops powered by new Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, and two of them are already available for preorder.

If you've been looking to upgrade your current laptop, the new Dell Inspiron 14 Plus or Dell XPS 13 could be your perfect match. Both of them are available on Dell's website and at Best Buy as of May 22, and the latter was throwing in a free 50-inch TV worth $299.99 for paid My Best Buy members (Plus or Total). At the time of writing, expected delivery dates were slated for late June.

Dell Inspiron 14 Plus

The new Inspiron 14 Plus is a clamshell-style laptop that comes with a Snapdragon X Plus chip, 16GB of memory, and 512GB of internal storage. It has a 14-inch touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio that's rated at 400 nits of brightness, and it also includes WiFi 7 support. When it comes to battery life, Dell says you can expect to get up to 21 hours of operation on a single charge.

The Inspiron 14 Plus maintains a trim form factor at 0.67 inches thick but doesn't sacrifice on ports, offering one USB Type-A port, a headphone jack, two USB Type-C ports, and one microSD card slot.

The Inspiron 14 Plus is priced at $1,099.99. Dell's online storefront listed its soonest delivery date as June 19, while Best Buy had its release date set for June 28.

Dell XPS 13

Packing a Snapdragon X Elite processor, Dell's latest XPS 13 is the first laptop from its premium XPS series to get the Copilot+ PC treatment. It lasts up to 27 hours per charge and weighs in at a trim 2.6 pounds, making it a good option for anyone who works on the go. Like the Inspiron 14 Plus, it also supports WiFi 7. But note that it just comes with two USB Type-C ports; there's no headphone jack. (Hope you have a good pair of wireless headphones or earbuds.)

Two configurations with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage are currently up for grabs:

  • Dell's model ($1,299, delivered as soon as June 19) has a 13.4-inch FHD+ non-touch display with a 120Hz refresh rate that's rated at 500 nits. It's 0.60 inches thin.

  • Best Buy's model ($1,499.99, delivered as soon as June 28) has a 13.4-inch 3K OLED touchscreen display with a 60Hz refresh rate that's rated at 400 nits. It's just 0.58 inches thin.
