Users on the biggest pro-Donald Trump subreddit are sharing a 4chan post that they believe proves that unverified claims about Trump and a sex act are fake news.

An unverified intelligence dossier published by BuzzFeed contained allegations that Trump hired prostitutes to participate in a urine-based sex act in a Moscow Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

However, one anonymous 4chan user claims to have sent anti-Trump Republican strategist Rick Wilson fanfiction "about Trump making people piss on a bed Obama slept in.” Now 4chan users believe that this was the idea behind the scandal. And people on the sub-Reddit, r/The_Donald, believe this proves the sex act claims are fake.

In the /pol/ thread, an anonymous post from Nov. 1, the week before the election, reads: "So they took what I told Rick Wilson and added a Russian spy angle to it. They still believe it. Guys, they're truly fucking desperate - there's no remaining Trump scandal that's credible."

Another user replies: "is it the sextape orgy thing? how can anybody even believe that?"

The top post on r/The_Donald shares a screenshot of a 4chan post that claims “/pol/acks (/pol/ users) mailed fanfiction to anti-trump pundit rick wilson about trump making people piss on a bed Obama slept in.”

However, there are many issues with the 4chan claims.

There are no further details in the post about what was told to Wilson or how the fake information would have been received by intelligence agencies.

Wilson is a veteran Republican political strategist who has strongly opposed Donald Trump and his supporters and managed Evan McMullin's independent campaign. One month ahead of the election, Wilson himself referred to an "October bombshell" that could even end the presidential race.

The unverified intelligence dossier has apparently been making the rounds among government officials and journalists for some time -- so it's possible that someone leaked it to 4chan.

After BuzzFeed's publication, Wilson took to Twitter to deny r/The_Donald and 4chan's claims:

He also said his information "was out there looooong before the 4chan posts":
