Trigger warning: frilly socks!

For many of us, Easter in the '90s meant two things: candy and frilly socks.

As much as we hate to admit it, dressing up for holidays in the between 1990 and 2000 was actually the raddest time of our lives -- depsite the many fights we put up with our moms and dads at the time.

Today, remember the fond family memories, puffy dresses, brightly colored button-down shirts and white knit tights that you wore through the years.

And thank your moms and dads for all the amazing Easter-themed Throwback Thursdays they gave you.

1. Frilly socks

When mom busted out these babies, you knew it was a special occasion.

2. White socks (or tights) with black Mary Janes

The classiest combination for an Easter egg hunt.

3. Billowy floral dresses with bibs

Common characteristics of a child's spring dress: giant flower print, mutton sleeves, giant lace bib.

4. Matching floral headbands

You couldn't leave the house with some mismatched hair accessories! Whose child do you think you are?

5. Woven brimmed hats with lots of ribbon

Perfect fodder for your future modeling career. Obviously.

6. Lacy gloves

Admit it, you felt like Rose from Titanic and you refused to take them off for dinner.

7. Festive ties with double breasted sports jackets

Even the boys were not immune from bright, spring prints.

8. White mini purses (for your Easter candy)

This was pretty much the only way to get you to set down your Easter basket.

9. Big hair bows

If it wasn't a headband, it was a bow. And there was no discussion about it.

10. The dreaded bunny costume

Reserved for the youngest child. We're sorry, youngest child.

11. The frilly, puffy dress

Best moment of the day was the opportunity for a twirl. And the adults were happy to indulge you.

12. Little boy dad fashion

Combine one pastel colored shirt that vaguely resembled an Easter egg, khakis and brown loafers and dad had a little mini-me running around all day.

13. Matching ensembles

Even if you weren't twins, you were wearing the same outfit. How else were the moms and dads supposed to tell their flocks apart?

14. White, chunky mini heels

That moment when mom or dad took you to Payless for Easter shoes was the BEST. DAY. EVER.
