Man wishing you a "perfectly adequate" Christmas is so, so British

LONDON -- Sometimes, you don't wish someone a merry Christmas.

Maybe you're not one for contrived cheer. Or maybe that someone just sucks.

Sometimes, you merely wish someone a tolerable Christmas.

Now there's a carol for that.

Vine star and Scottish singer Ollie McKendrick published this short clip to his Twitter account:

McKendrick sings,

Have an alright Christmas for me / Have a perfectly adequate time please / Have a tolerable Christmas my sweet / Have an alright Christmas for me.

He finishes his performance with a pained grimace before ripping the twinkling lights wrapped round his jumper, exclaiming, "Oh it's hurting my fucking eyes, make it STOP!"

Not exactly your traditional take on the Christmas carol genre, but we're predicting it's soon to be a classic.
