Disney's first trailer for A Wrinkle in Time is here, and it looks, in a word, magical.

Ava DuVernay (Selma) directed the adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's science fantasy classic. And she's brought out some big names to help her out.

Like Oprah, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon, who play a trio of celestial beings. And Chris Pine and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, as a married scientist couple. Michael Peña, Zach Galifianakis, and André Holland are also on board.

But really, the star of this show is 14-year-old Storm Reid, a relative newcomer who plays Meg Murry. When Meg's dad (Pine) disappears, she sets out to bring him back, with her younger brother (Deric McCabe) and her friend (Levi Miller) in tow. What follows is a singular adventure through the cosmos, thanks to a wrinkle in the fabric of space and time.

Speaking at D23, DuVernay revealed what attracted her to the project. "I saw myself in it. I saw so many different kinds of people and personalities in it," she said. "I thought, 'If I can bring my ideas to the classic novel, maybe we can make something new."

In part, "making something new" meant putting together a diverse cast. DuVernay and her producers wanted to "make a film with a cast that looked like you, that looked like the real world," she said, pointing to the audience.

That cast includes Winfrey, who admitted she'd never read the book before. But, Winfrey continued, "When Ava mentioned it to me and told me it was a character who is one of the wisest women in the universe and is an angelic celestial being, who's going to get to wear amazing costumes and work with Reese and Mindy as part of the Mrs. Team, who wouldn't say yes to that?"

And who wouldn't say yes to seeing Winfrey as a celestial being? A Wrinkle in Time lands in theaters March 9, 2018.
