This couple accidentally proposed at the same exact time, and it was precious

In pretty much the most adorable thing to happen since Paddington 2, a couple accidentally proposed to each other at the same time.

On Saturday, Tori Monaco asked her girlfriend of a year to marry her. Then her girlfriend (and now fiancée) Berkley Cade, pulled out a ring and got down on one knee too.

Monaco had no idea that Cade was planning to propose on the same day. "It was a complete surprise!" she said via DM.

Cade bought the ring in September and was waiting for the couple to visit her family in Washington to propose. Monaco has had her ring since January, and knew that Cade wanted to be the one to propose eventually, but planned on surprising her.

After they first met online a year ago, Cade drove four hours through the night to Monaco's apartment for their first date.

"I wanted to propose to her because she's such a giver," Monaco said. "She never gets spoiled or gets to be the center of attention."

While Cade drew out a Pictionary turn, Monaco got on one knee and guessed "will you marry me?" as the answer.

Shocked, Cade brought her ring out and asked the same question.

It was a yes for both of them, according to Monaco.

"My heart was pounding. I had knots in my stomach the whole week leading up to it," she said. "I almost broke and proposed early so many times."

Monaco and Cade talked Cade's mother, Kristy, separately about the proposal without knowing that the other was planning to propose as well. So, Kristy coordinated their proposals so they'd ask each other during the same game.

"We wanted to do it in front of the whole family," Monaco said, "Kristy was able to help us both plan our proposals and tricked us into proposing at the same time!"
